You see the agreement and the stamp duty amount before paying.
We arrange the e-stamp. Both sides sign and keep a copy.
For 12 months or more, or if you want it registered, we guide the registration.
Rent is income. Landlords report it in their return, and home-loan interest and a standard deduction can reduce the tax. See ITR filing in Hyderabad. A commercial tenant paying GST on rent also matters; see GST registration in Hyderabad.
In Telangana it is generally worked out at about 0.4% of the total consideration, meaning the rent for the whole lease period plus any advance or deposit. We calculate the exact figure for your agreement and confirm the current rate before you pay.
Registration is not compulsory for leases of 11 months or less, so many Hyderabad agreements are only stamped. Leases of 12 months or more need to be registered.
E-stamp is widely used and can be verified online. Stamp duty must be paid before or when the agreement is signed, because an unstamped agreement may not be accepted as proof.
The agreement decides it. In practice the cost is often shared or paid by the tenant. We write it clearly in the agreement.
A commercial lease has different clauses, such as GST on rent, permitted use and lock-in. Tell us it is a shop or office and we draft it accordingly.
