Renewal keeps that exclusivity intact for another 10 years. 02 ### Keep the ® Symbol The ® symbol can only be used legally for a registered, active trademark. It may be renewed for further periods of 10 years each by making an application and paying the prescribed fee. **Renewal Window:** The renewal application (Form TM-R) can be filed up to 6 months before the expiry date. If filed after expiry, a surcharge applies and the mark may be removed from the register, requiring a restoration application (TM-R with surcharge). **Government Fee:** ₹9,000 per class for physical filing; ₹8,100 per class for online filing (as per current schedule). This is in addition to our service fee. ## Renewal Process We check your expiry date, confirm the details, file TM-R, and send you the renewal certificate. 1 ### Check Expiry Date We verify your trademark registration certificate for the exact expiry date and confirm the registered class and goods/services covered. 2 ### Confirm Owner Details Verify that the registered owner's name and address are current. Any changes to owner details must be updated before renewal. 3 ### File TM-R on IP India Portal Renewal application (Form TM-R) filed online on the IP India portal with all required details and government fee payment. 4 ### Pay Government Fee ₹8,100 per class (online) paid at the time of filing. We manage this on your behalf and provide payment confirmation. 5 ### Renewal Certificate Issued Trademark Registry issues the renewal certificate extending protection by 10 years.
