### Is it compulsory to register an 11-month agreement?

Registering an 11-month agreement is not compulsory, but it is recommended. Agreements longer than 12 months MUST be registered under the Registration Act 1908.

### How long does it take?

The agreement is typically registered in 2-4 working days, provided all documents are complete.

### How much is the stamp duty?

Stamp duty differs from state to state. In Telangana it is 0.4% of the total rent for the agreement period plus the deposit. Example: for ₹18,000/month rent over 11 months with a ₹50,000 deposit, stamp duty is about ₹992. We calculate the exact amount for you.
